Original Art for Sale

In Search of Lost Tintin is Ricardo's "autobiographical fantasy" as he journeys through life and the world of comics, seeking to realize his dream of becoming a comic artist.

Ricardo's In Search of Lost Tintin original art debuted in the US at Comic Art Live in May 2024. We offered both pencil prelims and finished pages and had a great response, selling all but one prelim and all but 3 finished pages. Here are images of the art that sold so you can get a feel for Ricardo's work.

Both finished pages and prelims are A3 in size (29.7 x 42 cm, or 11.7 x 16.5 in). The prelims are drawn on tracing paper.

Also, please note that the prelims are lettered in Portuguese, Ricardo's native language. The finished pages have no lettering as the production lettering is digital. We have provided images of the published pages for context.

Check out the ebook for the full story and to see all of Ricardo's glorious art. You can read about the book here—https://rleite.slingsbybros.com/—and view our press release and read a sample chapter. The ebook is available on Amazon sites worldwide. The hardcover will be published this Fall.

In Search of Lost Tintin Original Art

Ricardo's prelims are drawn in pencil on tracing paper. Prelims are the same size as the finished pages—A3 (11.7 x 16.5 inches, 29.7 x 42 cm)—so that they are convenient to use with a light box to create the finished pages.

Ricardos finished pages are a delight to behold. We have yet to encounter someone who is not immediately engaged when they see one of his originals. At the last Comic Art Live we offered a number of original pages and prelims and nearly sold out.

Like the prelims, finished pages are A3 (11.7 x 16.5 inches, 29.7 x 42 cm) in size.
