About Ricardo Leite

Ricardo Leite (March 3, 1957) is a Brazilian artist living in Rio de Janeiro. Ricardo has a life-long passion for the art of comic books. He is a fanatic collector of comic art, and he published his own comic stories in various magazines in the 1970s and 1980s. Ricardo is the founder and CEO of Crama Design Estratégico. Over his 40-year career, he has designed hundreds of record album covers for great Brazilian musicians as well as branding projects for companies. He has received dozens of national and international awards throughout his career as a designer.

Awards and Honors:

Published in late 2022 in France, Belgium, Holland, Portugal, Brazil, In Search of Lost Tintin combines art worthy of the greatest masters, inventive compositions, and a highly personal and moving story that gets at the heart of what comics do to us and for us. It has already been awarded several honors in Brazil, Portugal and Belgium.

  • Won the HQMIX Trophy 2023 in two categories, including Best Comic Book published in Brazil.
  • Awarded in Brazil with the Sisson Trophy at the International Caricature Biennial in 2023.
  • Nominated among the 5 best comic books published in Portugal at the Amadora International Comics Festival 2023.
  • Nominated among the 4 best comic books published in Portugal competing for the Vinhetas D'Ouro 2023 Award.
  • This work earned him the insignia of Knight of the Order of the Crown of the Kingdom of Belgium, a commendation confirmed by King Philippe (Royal Decree of January 20, 2021).
